June Disney Dreamlight Valley update is finally adding Mulan and Mushu

After first teasing the arrivals late last year with the Disney Dreamlight Valley roadmap, we finally know when two iconic character are due to be released. The unforgettable duo introduced in Mulan (1998) are set to join the valley, and that means a whole new realm is on the way. We've got more here on the confirmed release date for the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update and what The Lucky Dragon could include.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Mulan Update Release Date

With the Disney Parks themed Star Path wrapping up recently and the announced "Late Spring 2024" window for this update closing in, Gameloft has confirmed when the next realm will arrive. This Disney Dreamlight Valley update is set to be released on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

The Lucky Dragon update will be entirely free, so players who don't have the paid expansion A Rift in Time will still have access. With this being a much later realm addition, it'll likely cost upwards of 10,000 or more Dreamlight, so players hoping to jump in the second it lands may want to start saving up.

Like the recently added Monsters Inc realm and others, getting Mulan and Mushu won't be instantaneous. Players will need to complete a variety of new quests after accessing the Mulan realm, and once those are completed it'll be time to work on friendship quests for both new characters.

Once this update deploys, only two will remain for the existing Disney Dreamlight Valley roadmap. There's one more free update and one paid expansion update on schedule, and both are targeted for "Summer 2024." They tend to use "late" if they're aiming for the end of a season, so that likely means these will arrive in July or August.

For the main game, Tiana from The Princess and the Frog is expected. It's not confirmed yet if she'll be getting a full realm with a companion character or if she'll be a standalone addition to the larger Dreamlight Valley story like Jack Skellington and others have been. For those with the expansion, the final chapter in foiling Jafar's schemes will arrive, and likely lead to him (and potentially other Aladdin characters) being unlockable.
