New Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Story Trailer Revealed

SURPRISE! A new Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree trailer is about to drop imminently, with the game's official X (formally Twitter) account announcing that the world premiere of the story trailer will drop today at 15:00 UTC. For those of you who are terrible with timezones, that's 8 AM Pacific / 11 AM Eastern / 3 PM UTC or 4PM for those in the UK. In short, when the timer runs out on the countdown clock above you're good to go.

You can even watch it down below on the YouTube embed if you want to hang around. Also, our deepest condolences to Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, who only managed half a day of conversation before the big bad Elden Ring came to steal the limelight and trample on those interesting review discussions.

As for what you can expect, Bandai Namco hasn't given anything away, but we wouldn't hold our breath for any further gameplay footage. Elden Ring's first story trailer was very much a CGI fest. It looked great but wasn't packing much in the way of gameplay. So whilst you might spot a few hints and teasers at new bosses coming to the game in today's trailer, it's more likely to be a tone-setter, rather than giving everything away.

Thankfully, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree launches next month on June 21, so we don't have to wait that much longer before we get our hands on the DLC expansion.
